The MEG101AE-R5 extender uses G.993.2 VDSL2 standard technology to transmit data between LANs at up to 160-Mbps symmetric using only a single copper wire pair. It supports symmetrical and asymmetrical transmission at up to 160-Mbps within 300 meters and 5-/1-Mbps at 3000 meters. The unit is ideal for extending LAN to buildings, hotels, hospitals, or any location outside of the 100 meters reach of Ethernet UTP.
The extender features two 10/100/1000 Ethernet ports, a DIP switch to select Central Office (CO) or Customer Premise Equipment (CPE), 8 selectable bands, selectable SNRM level, and selectable G.INP. LED indicators include PWR, CO, and CPE.
