These media converters are designed to bridge a 10/100BASE-T signal to a 100BASE-FX signal. Use them to extend the connection distance between two Fast Ethernet twisted-pair devices via fiber cable transparently with no performance degradation.
This converter series is based on a switching hub design. It supports auto-negotiation and flow-control functions on the twisted-pair port. Different types of fiber connectors are available: SC and ST for multimode or SC for single-mode cables.
The XS Media Converters feature an aesthetically pleasing design and informative LEDs that show you the status of your link.
You can use the XS Media Converters "right out of the box" as a standalone device, or you can order a wall or DIN rail mounting kit (sold separately) or even a 16-slot rack chassis. For additional reliability and stability, add a redundant power supply for the 16-slot rack chassis.
