A converter that can take an Ethernet network from copper to fiber is one of the most frequently needed devices. With the XS Media Converters, it really is as easy as that, since the conversion mode and method are set up automatically.
The Gigabit Ethernet media converters series are designed to bridge a 1000BASE-TX signal to a 1000BASE-LX/SX signal. LGE217 supports also 10/100/1000M copper links.
Use these devices to extend the connection distance between two Gigabit Ethernet Twisted-pair devices via fiber cable transparently with no performance degradation.
Select from converters for Multimode or single-mode operation. You may even choose a model with a flexible SFP slot that can take multimode or single-mode long-range SFP modules.
The XS Media Converters feature an aesthetically pleasing design and informative LEDs that show you the status of your link. You can use the XS Media Converters "right out of the box" as a standalone device, or you can order a wall or DIN rail mounting kit (sold separately) or even a 16-slot rack chassis. For additional reliability and stability, add a redundant power supply for the 16-slot rack chassis.
