KVM KVM Combo Cable - VGA, USB & PS/2 Connectors with USB-to-PS/2 Adapter
Universal all-in-one cable solution for connecting VGA, USB, and PS/2 servers with a single cable.
Product Features
- Universal cable design features a single 15-pin KVM connector that splits to support both USB and PS/2 server peripherals
- Uses the native USB port for modern servers and includes an adapter for PS/2 keyboard connections
- Eliminates the need to stock separate PS/2 and USB cables, reducing complexity and ensuring compatibility
The KVM combo cable represents a flexible, single-cable solution designed to simplify connections between a KVM switch and any server, regardless of its peripheral interface.
The cable consolidates the interface by featuring a single, 15-pin D-type connector for the KVM switch end. At the server end, it splits to provide maximum compatibility, featuring a standard 15-pin D-type analogue video connector, a flying lead PS/2 mouse connector, and a flying lead USB connector. A separate USB to PS/2 keyboard adapter is also supplied as part of the kit.
For a modern USB server application, the single USB connector handles both the keyboard and mouse signals, efficiently occupying only one USB port on the server. If you are working with a legacy PS/2 server application, you simply use the flying lead PS/2 mouse as normal, and the USB connector is plugged into the included PS/2 adapter to connect the keyboard.
This design delivers a major advantage over traditional setups, which required stocking separate 'all-in-one' cables dedicated solely to either PS/2 or USB connections. By offering a universal solution, the KVM combo cable reduces stock holding and complexity, eliminating the need to keep two distinct types of cables. This ensures seamless compatibility with both existing and future server hardware.
